BREAD Card Receives
Excellent Rating

3rd October 2008

The award winning BREAD Prepaid Maestro ® Card www.breadcard.com. has just been reviewed by leading comparison website whichwaytopay.com and awarded a 5 star EXCELLENT rating.

Mark Maffia, Managing Director of Whichwaytopay.com commented “BREAD Card now performs well above standard in comparison to other Prepaid Cards and has exceptional features and benefits. BREAD Card’s application process is particularly impressive as well as their account management interface”.

The BREAD Card is a new breed of payment card. Unlike conventional credit cards, which provide you with a line of credit, or debit cards that are linked to a bank account with an overdraft facility, the BREAD Card is a ‘pay-as-you-go’ card that you load with cash or have your wages transferred to. When applying for a BREAD Card there are also no credit checks.

Tim Day, Marketing Director of BREAD commented “We are focused on making the BREAD Card the most competitive and efficient Prepaid card in the UK. We have recently introduced free loading at the Post Office, free loading via BACS transfer and fee balance checking via SMS; these important changes have been made to improve our customer offering and it is satisfying that they have been well received by both comparison websites and indeed our customers”.

The BREAD Card is issued by Newcastle Building Society pursuant to licence by Mastercard International Incorporated or its affiliates.
